Scoot Pads
Scoot Pads are used for horses with sore soles or as a filler if your horse is between two sizes. We only recommend pads if they are needed for one of these two reasons. Most horses do not need pads in their Scootboots. Using pads can affect the fit of the boot and you may need to go up a size.
Scoot Pads are made of TPU and are designed to help horses that are sole-sore or between two sizes.
Scoot Pads are TPU pads that you place in your Scootboots. They are for horses with sore soles or work as a filler when your horse is between two sizes. The pack contains four pads.
When does your horse need Scoot Pads?
Most horses do not need pads in their Scootboots. Therefore, we only recommend pads for one of these two reasons:
- Sore soles. The pad gives relief to horses with sensitive soles.
- Between two sizes. The pad fills out the boot and thus gives a firmer fit.
Keep in mind that pads can affect the fit. In other words, you may need to go up a boot size.
Size and thickness of Scoot Pads
The size of Scoot Pads follows the same size chart as the boots, so choose the same size as your boots. Sizes 000–2 are 3 mm thick and sizes 3–9 are 4 mm thick. If you have the slim model, you also need to trim the pad to fit the boot. You will find all measurements in our size chart.

Other ways to improve the fit
If the hoof is between two sizes, you can also use the Anti Slip Shim, which goes at the front of the boot. If you are looking for more comfort for sore soles instead, there is also the EQUNIQUE Support Pad.
