Scootboot Classic 2 pcs

Scootboot Classic is the original Scootboot, a light hoof boot for trail riding, endurance and everyday use. It is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). It also has no fabric or Velcro parts. You buy the boots in pairs.

Why choose Scootboot Classic

• Light and durable. TPU is a light and very durable material. One boot weighs around 250 g on average, depending on size.
• Long lifespan. On average, a pair of Scootboots lasts around 1,000 km (620 miles). However, the lifespan depends on the horse’s weight, the terrain, the gait and how you care for the boots.
• Easy to keep clean. Because the boot has no fabric or Velcro parts, it is easy to clean.
• Easy to use. Slip on, clip down and go. No cables and no dials.
• Fits different hoof shapes. It suits hooves that are slightly longer than wide as well as hooves that are slightly wider than long.

Scootboot Classic in regular or slim

The model comes in two widths. Regular and slim are the same length, but slim is 10 mm narrower and therefore often fits the hind hooves. You will also find the measurements for every size in our size chart.

Classic has a fixed rear strap that suits an optimal heel height. In addition, you can mould the rear strap to your horse’s hoof by boiling the boot in water for 2–3 minutes. Only reshape boots you know are the right size, because reshaped boots count as used if returned.

Find the right size

Always measure a freshly trimmed hoof. First, measure the length from the tip of the toe to the end of the heel buttress, not to the bulbs. Then measure the width horizontally across the widest points of the hoof. Finally, compare the measurements with the size chart or use our interactive size guide.

Try new boots on a clean surface with a plastic bag or sock around the hoof until you know the size is right. That way you can exchange them if needed. • 6 extra knob hooks and screws (M00, M0, M1, M2 & M3 have 3)

When is another model a better choice?

Scootboot Classic is not suitable for:

• hooves with heels that are too high, long toes or flared hoof walls
• hooves with major structural changes due to injury to the heel bulbs or laminitis, EDE etc.
• club feet

In those cases, choose ScootAdjust instead. Its rear strap is adjustable in height.
