The Scoot Mud Strap is designed for riding in extreme terrain. The strap adds security in deep mud and more demanding terrain, and it also helps when a horse treads on itself. It is made of extremely durable TPU, and it is flexible and gentle on the horse’s skin when you fit it correctly.

The size varies a lot with the horse’s leg. Therefore, check the fit. If you can easily pull the strap down to the coronet band, it is too big and may come off under the slightest load. If you cannot easily fit a finger between the strap and the skin, it is too small instead, which increases the risk of rubbing.

Too small? Lengthen the strap

If the strap is too small, you can easily stretch it by 10 mm, which equals the next size. For example, you can boil the strap in water and then stretch it. Watch the video on how to lengthen the Mud Strap.

How to fit the strap

The pack contains 2 Mud Straps, 2 Mud Strap Collars and 4 Mud Strap Sleeves. You use the sleeves to improve the fit or for horses with sensitive skin and rubbing issues. Watch the video on how to attach the Mud Strap. For sensitive horses, you can also attach PVC tubing to the strap, which improves the fit and can help prevent rubbing.
