The pastern strap is developed as a safety band if the boots should come loose, or be sucked into, for example, mud. The strap is not the primary thing that holds the boots in place. Made of extremely durable (TPU), the strap is flexible and gentle on the horse’s skin when attached properly. The strap is adjustable.

Small: fits Scootboots size M00-00
Medium: fits Scootboots size 0-3
Large: fits Scootboots size 4-9
Extra Large: fits Scootboots size 10-11
How to tighten correctly
To tighten the strap correctly, make sure that the horse is standing straight with the leg bent 90 degrees. Tighten the strap and make sure you fit a large finger or two smaller ones in the front of the buckle.
