Big Ice Studs 4 pcs

Big Ice Studs is a set for fitting ice studs in the sole of your Scootboots. As a result, your horse gets extra grip on ice and slippery ground. The pack contains four studs, four washers and four drive-in nuts with M8 thread. With four studs per boot, one set is therefore enough for one boot.

Why choose big ice studs for your Scootboots

• Extra grip. The studs give your horse better traction when it is slippery, for example on ice.
• Firmly anchored. The drive-in nut sits firmly in the sole, and you then screw the stud into the nut.
• All in one set. In addition, the pack includes the nuts, studs and washers.

What you need

• a drill driver
• a 9.5 mm drill bit
• an M8 bolt (not included)
• ideally a 20 mm cylinder drill bit, for example Biltema’s 20 mm cylinder drill bit

You also need one drive-in nut and one washer per stud. Both come in the set.

How to fit ice studs in your Scootboots

Do as follows for four studs per boot:

1. First, drill two holes in the toe and two in the heel.
2. Then press the drive-in nut down from the inside of the boot.
3. Next, put the included washer in place and screw the drive-in nut down into the sole with the M8 bolt. Leave it for 10 minutes and then repeat for all holes.
4. Finally, screw in the stud with its washer.

For the easiest and best result, first countersink the inside of the sole with a 20 mm cylinder drill bit.

Note that the warranty on your Scootboots does not apply if you fit studs other than Scootboots’ own.
