EQUNIQUE 2K Urethane Adhesive is a high-performance, two-component urethane adhesive specially developed to attach Glue On Barefoot Pads securely and efficiently to the horse’s hooves. Ideal for barefoot horses needing extra protection and support without traditional shoeing. The black colour blends discreetly with the hoof’s natural appearance, and the compact 50 ml package is perfect for precise use in smaller quantities.

Use and application:

NOTE: always use a face mask, safety glasses and disposable gloves when handling adhesive.

  1. Prepare the hoof: clean with alcohol and dry the hoof thoroughly for the best adhesion.
  2. Use a glue gun: combine the two components using a glue gun and mixing tip.
  3. Apply: spread the adhesive evenly on the underside of the pad or the sole of the hoof and press firmly against the hoof. Hold in position for 60 seconds for full curing. Plastic film is helpful here.
  4. Finishing: check the fit and grind away any excess adhesive. Pro tip: use in combination with EQUNIQUE hoof care products such as Hoof Tar Spray or Zinc Paste.
