Rebecca Dahlgren has run the company HorseVision Sweden together with her husband Christofer and employee Stinelo Wiking for 20 years. The company has focused on Freedom Dressage and AkademiskRidkonst. Her goal is to ride a soft and relaxed dressage up to the highest level both with and without a main team.
On a daily basis, she works full time as a riding instructor, where she receives students both at home but also in Europe. Among other things, she travels regularly to Germany, Finland, Denmark, Austria and the Netherlands to give clinics.
Just as Rebecca alternates between bridle and without, she also adapts the shoeing to each individual horse in the stable. The goal is for the horse to maintain its joy of movement in all situations and surfaces. With the help of Scootboots, more of her horses have been given the opportunity to walk unshod, as the quality of their hooves allows them to move relaxed in the riding hall and in the paddock without shoes. But in forest riding, frozen pastures and terrain training where protection for the sole and better grip is desired, Scootboots help the horses to function naturally there as well.
Erinmore Cassanova “Sheridan”, is Rebecca’s Connemara stallion at 11 years old. He came to Rebecca as a one-year-old and has been her constant companion ever since. Together, they have done everything from performing in freedom dressage, to doing tests in AkademiskRidkonst, but also Jumping and training the field competition. Sheridan is approved as a breeding stallion. But above all, he is Rebecca’s best friend. He has previously walked around, as the need to be able to follow all assignments without the hooves being affected is most important. But since the hoof quality is good and he really only needed shoes for individual situations, Rebecca chose to first take off the back shoes, and then remove those in the front when it turned out that he did just as well without shoes. At least when the possibility of extra protection exists when the need arises. This caused Rebecca to turn to Scootboots.
