Pastern Strap
The pastern strap is designed as a safety strap in case the boot comes loose or gets suctioned off in mud, for example. The strap is not the primary thing holding the boot in place. Made of extremely durable TPU, the strap is flexible and gentle on the horse’s skin when fitted correctly. The strap is adjustable.

How to tighten correctly
To tighten the strap correctly, make sure the horse is standing straight with the leg bent 90 degrees. Tighten the strap and make sure there is room for one large finger or two smaller ones at the front of the buckle.
